With a strong believe in the impact education has on the healthy development of children, Ms. Marquardt has taken on the position of Nova Scotia Provincial Manager of Roots of Empathy. In a world in need of more empathy and kindness, Mary Gordon’s organization has a wide-reaching impact on our communities through the certified school program: Roots of Empathy. In this position Ms. Marquardt continues to work towards promoting the value of education and the arts in schools.
Sibylle has significant experience in arts and culture in both Canada and Europe derived from more than 30 years working as a music educator, orchestra and chamber musician, examiner, entrepreneur and manager. Her experience stretches from leadership, management, administration, to fund development and facilitation skills, with a focus in education and arts and an in-depth knowledge of the classical and contemporary music landscape in Canada. Through her various positions Ms. Marquardt has gained first-hand knowledge of the impact education and the arts have on mental wellness, communities and society at large.
Ms. Marquardt has a diverse portfolio as an arts manager and a certificate in Business Administration from York University.
